If you have trouble signing up for Telegram with a virtual number, these tips can improve your chances of success. Follow them before you request the code.
1. Use the mobile app
Register in the official Telegram mobile app for iOS or Android. Telegram does not allow new accounts to be registered through the desktop version or on tablets. If you use an emulator, the system will almost certainly detect it and block the attempt.
2. Use a clean device and IP address
If accounts were recently registered or deleted from your phone or IP address, this raises suspicion. To lower the risk:
- switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data, or the other way round;
- use a device that has never had Telegram installed, or clear the app's cache and data before you start.
3. Match the IP location to the number
Use a high-quality VPN or proxy so that the country of your IP address matches the country of the phone number. For example, if you register a UK number from an IP address in another country, the anti-fraud system may reject the request.
4. Match the time zone and language
Change the time zone and the language in your phone settings to match the country of the number.
5. Do not request the code too often
If you press the "send code" button many times, Telegram temporarily blocks code requests for your number. Request the code once and wait.
Please note
We provide a number that can receive codes from most services worldwide. Whether the registration succeeds depends on the service's own checks, so we cannot guarantee it.
